Graduate Consultant - EIA & Health Impact

We are currently seeking to recruit a numerate, organised and flexible Assistant Consultant with an interest in health or socio-economic impacts to support the delivery of quantitative health and social impact assessments in EIA, research and further development of best practice methods at RPS and co-ordination and production of EIAs for development projects.

In addition, the role will provide an opportunity for the right individual to apply their analytical skills to further support quantitative climate change and sustainability impact assessments with Environment Team members in the RPS Brighton and Oxford offices, when required.

The successful candidate will bring to the role an enthusiasm for developing best practice methods at RPS as we continue to grow in these service sectors, and flexibility to support team members with a variety of EIA workstreams, underpinned by solid numeracy and analytical skills.

• Supporting the management or EIA projects and the review and production of Environmental Statements;
• Statistical analysis of health and socio-economic circumstance and quantitative exposure response assessments;
• Writing health and socio-economic assessment reports, following EIA best practice;
• Liaising with clients, environmental stakeholders and project managers to agree approaches and deliver to deadlines;
• Providing analytical and quantitative assessment support to Environment Team members when required.

Essential Skills:
• Highly numerate, with excellent MS Office skills
• Environmental science or environmental assessment/management subject or relevant degree qualification with strong analytical skills
• Excellent research and data gathering capabilities
• Effective written communication for clear, well written and grammatically accurate reports
• Well organised and pays keen attention to detail
