Graduate EIA & Climate Change
Brighton


We are currently seeking to recruit an Assistant Consultant with an interest in climate change and sustainability to support carbon footprint and climate change assessments, sustainability assessments and co-ordination and production of EIAs for development projects;

In addition, the role will provide an exciting opportunity for the right individual to apply their analytical skills to further support quantitative health and socio-economic impact assessments with Environment Team members, when required.

The successful candidate will bring to the role an enthusiasm for developing best practice methods at RPS as we continue to grow in these service sectors, and flexibility to support team members with a variety of EIA workstreams, underpinned by solid numeracy and analytical skills.

Responsibilities:
• Supporting the management or EIA projects and the review and production of Environmental Statements;
• Providing robust carbon footprint calculations for development projects and corporate reporting;
• Undertaking climate change risk assessments using published climate data;
• Liaising with clients, environmental stakeholders and project managers to agree approaches and deliver to deadlines;
• Providing analytical and quantitative assessment support to Environment Team members when required.
Essential Skills:
• Highly numerate, with excellent MS Office skills
• Environmental science, environmental assessment or environmental engineering subject or relevant degree qualification with strong analytical skills
• Excellent research and data gathering capabilities
• Effective written communication for clear, well written and grammatically accurate reports
• Well organised and pays keen attention to detail
