About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with proven experience in delivering challenging projects to complement the rapidly growing team in our Bristol office. As well as high profile commercial/property environment projects your work will also encompass student accommodation, hotels, retail and large industrial units. This is a client facing role, enabling you to lead from the front, so you should relish the opportunity to join a highly successful, growing team where your experience in making decisions and presenting findings back to the client as well as internal stakeholders will be vital. You will have the freedom to hit the road running on full project delivery managing a portfolio of projects simultaneously and have experience of delivering Cost Consultancy services for project values of min £10million using construction contracts including JCT and NEC.

About You
Suitable candidates will possess a degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent), be Chartered – MRICS qualified and possess a minimum of 7 years’ experience gained within a cost consultancy practice taking projects from inception to completion. You should have experience of pre-contract surveying duties on buildings projects, including estimating, cost planning and cost reporting within the private sector as well as a sound knowledge of contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction. Experience of construction technology is important as is the ability to manage business relationships at a senior level. Knowledge of value engineering and life cycle costing is required and a strong commercial and financial awareness and accurate attention to detail is expected. Previous experience of managing people and risk management advantageous.
