Senior Water Conservation/Leakage Specialist
Dublin (Ireland)

JOB TITLE: Senior Water Conservation/Leakage Specialist, Water Services Division

REPORT TO: Associate /Director

We have secondment opportunities for Senior Water Conservation/Leakage Specialists who will contribute to a significant clients’ strategic programme.

The Roles

Various roles implementing a National programme of work including metering, leak detection and repair and pressure management.

The Candidate will ideally have

· A level 8 degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. A post graduate degree would be advantageous;
· A minimum of 7 years' experience in water services projects with significant experience in water conservation and leakage management;
· A track record in the delivery of water network projects;
· Experience and expertise in metering, pressure management, network operations/management and watermains rehabilitation would be advantageous;
· Contractor design review experience (beneficial);
· Team player approach with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), team working skills and analytical skills;
· The ability to lead and motivate themselves and others; willingly takes ownership of issues and seeks team participation to achieve best solution;
· The ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make recommendations;
· The ability to devise new approaches to problems encountered;
· Excellent IT skills, familiar with relevant computer applications (MS Word and MS Excel in particular, MS Project desirable) and simulation software.
· Experience working within programmes, working to deadlines, progress reporting and using MS project.
· Previous experience in reviewing asset data and developing appropriate solutions.
· Experience in pricing proposed designs for previous business plans / regulatory submissions.
· Excellent excel skills
· The ability to:
o prioritise tasks, work with schedules and manage resources while remaining focused on team goals
o secure and compare information from multiple sources to identify issues; committing to an action after weighing alternative solutions against decision criteria.
o set high standards, by encouraging others to assume responsibility and accountability for tasks.
o manage issues within the team and act as a point of escalation.
