RPS Energy has an established track record with numerous major clients within petroleum engineering. We are embarking on a major programme of further expansion in this sector and are seeking the right individual to support this expansion with immediate involvement in high profile flagship energy projects.

The RPS Energy office in Henley-on-Thames has an interpretative processing department which performs project management work covering many aspects of exploration geophysics from the survey design, through the tendering and management of the seismic acquisition, finishing with the management and QC of the final processing. This department requires assistance due to its expanding workload.


Role: Processing Geophysicist.

Reports to: Sector Director
Location: Henley, with travel


Main Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include but not necessarily be limited to:
· Quality control of seismic data processing at Contractors in-house centres.
· Processing of seismic data using in-house ProMAX software.
· Assist in survey design projects.
· Assist in Project Management of seismic acquisition and processing projects.
· Management, marketing and negotiation of contracts and writing of proposals.


Experience Required
The candidate should possess:
· First degree in Geophysics or associated subject.
· Minimum 8 years experience hands-on Seismic data processing.
· Good knowledge of acquisition, processing and analysis of seismic data.
· Experience of alternative industry software would be an advantage.
· Experience in AVO, Inversion and PSDM work preferred.
· Problem solver with ability to deliver solutions and technical excellence.
