The Australian office of RPS Energy is located in West Perth, W.A. and offers a small friendly working environment, with approximately 20 full time staff. An emphasis is placed on maintaining the working environment as positive and energetic which allows us to deliver the performance our clients expect, with the full support of the RPS Group.

The team is a balanced mix of Geophysicists, Geologists and Engineers, as well as Operations and support staff, working together on a broad range of projects. The project work is interesting, and varied in both depth and scope. Projects include commercial evaluations, exploration studies, reserves auditing, field development planning, geological modeling, simulation, production optimisation and a host of related work. Clients include the full range of energy companies from junior to major E and P Companies.

Principal Geoscientist

The successful candidate will have excellent Perth / Australia / Asia technical and business networks and will be highly motivated and personable with a 'must do' attitude.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Technical Geoscience (Geology/Geophysics)
· Seismic Interpretation, Field, Prospect and Basin Scale
· Strength in Seismic and Sequence Stratigraphy
· Strength in Petroleum Systems and Play Analysis
· Prospect and Lead Evaluation, Risking and Volumetrics
· A Good Understanding of Petrophysical Interpretation
· Integrated GeoScience Project Management
· Business Development
· Proposal Writing
· Mentoring of Professional Staff

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Minimum Bsc. in Geophysics, Geology or Physics
· Demonstrated world class ability to solve challenging Geological/Exploration/Production problems
· Excellent communication skills
· Significant experience in latest computer technology and industry software
· Minimum of 12 years oil and gas industry experience
