The Australian office of RPS Energy is located in West Perth, Western Australia and offers a small friendly environment, with approximately 20 full time staff, and an emphasis placed on maintaining the working environment as positive and energetic.

The team is a balanced mix of Geophysicists, Geologists and Engineers, Operations and support staff, working together on a broad range of projects. The project work is interesting, and varied in both depth and scope, projects include commercial evaluations, exploration studies, reserves auditing, field development planning, geological modeling, simulation, production optimisation and a host of related work. Clients include the full range of energy companies from junior to major E&P Companies.

Principal Petroleum Engineer

The candidate should have excellent Perth / Australia / Asia technical and business network. The candidate should be well motivated, personable and have a 'must do' attitude.
The candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to manage large integrated Engineering projects. The candidate must have a commercial awareness and the ability to work closely with other geoscientists and engineers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Petroleum Engineering Function (approximately 70% component)

· Pressure Buildup Analysis
· Independent Expert Reports
· Economics
· Business Development
· Project Management
· Client Account Management
· Mentoring of Professional Staff

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Tertiary qualifications in Engineering
· Demonstrated world class ability to solve challenging physical problems and to deliver high quality technical results in a timely manner
· Excellent communication, leadership and team work skills
· Significant experience in computer simulation/modeling
· Minimum of 12 years oil and gas industry experience
