Leakage Engineer
Birmingham


Hours: 40 hours per week + Opportunity to work overtime (dependant on the requirements of the client),

Role
Leakage Engineer required to work on MOD sites to undertake but not limited to leak detection, network investigations, data logging and fire hydrant testing. To work on the MOD sites you would need to go through the security vetting process and your CV would need to be reviewed by our client prior to any offer of work being made. The role is for an initial period of 3 months with the potential to be extended for a 2 year period.

Area
• Midlands – Shropshire, Staffordshire, West Midlands, Warwickshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire – Work outside these areas may be required on an occasional basis

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Technical expertise in the detection of leaks and night-use surveys including the installation and downloading of flow and pressure loggers and the maintenance and optimisation of pressure management systems
• Technical expertise in the testing and inspection of fire hydrants
• Problem solving coupled with the ability to innovate and adapt
• Relationship skills, the ability to build relationships at all levels with both internal and external bodies.
• Communication skills both oral and written, the ability to convey information effectively.

• Imaginative, the ability to think laterally.

Candidate must possess the following;
• Excellent knowledge of Water Supply Networks
• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
• Good all-round IT Skills including Windows / Office package essential
• National Water Hygiene Card essential
• NRSWA essential
• Valve Operations Certificate
• Full Driving License essential as the role may involve significant travel
• Enjoy working outdoors essential
