We are looking for an experienced Hydrologist to join the team in our Edinburgh office.

You will be responsible for the provision of hydrology support to EIA, Contaminated Land and Environmental Engineering teams in Scotland. This will involve completion of hydrology related reports in relation to Environmental Impact Assessments and other hydrology linked services such as peat slide assessments, private water supply assessments and any other hydrology support that maybe required. Current ongoing projects include the delivery of flood risk modelling and mapping to clients, provision of strategic flood risk advice to clients / local authorities, design of flood management measures, flood risk assessments and water quality assessments.

In the role you will be responsible for the delivery of technical hydrology studies and to grow the hydrology business in Scotland.

Ideally, you will have 5 years relevant experience in a similar position and should hold a BSc or MSc in a related discipline e.g Geography, environmental science or engineering degree (or similar) with a further qualification in hydrology.

You will have extensive hydrology experience some of which should ideally have been gained in consultancy and be able to demonstrate an in depth knowledge of hydrological modelling techniques. Previous experience in business development, supervising staff and in the provision of technical guidance and training will be a distinct advantage.
