Energy is the largest division within RPS providing multi-disciplinary Technical, Commercial and Project Management Support services in the fields of operations, geoscience, engineering and HS&E to the energy sector worldwide. RPS Energy services the oil and gas, renewables and nuclear sectors from operating bases in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and Malaysia.

International Well Operations consultancy services are run from our UK office in Usk, Monmouthshire, South Wales in conjunction with our regional offices in Houston, Calgary, Kuala Lumpur and Perth. We are currently expanding our wellsite geology team seeking additional consultant personnel for UK and international projects in the following roles:

Wellsite Geologist and Operations Geologist

Reports to: Operations Manager
Location: Short & long term consulting opportunities in the North Sea, throughout Africa, Middle East & FSU, Australasia, Canada, and Gulf of Mexico.

Wellsite Geologist
Experience Required
The candidate should possess:
• Degree in related field
• 5 yrs + mud logging experience
• Horizontal geo-steering
• HPHT wells
• Deepwater drilling
• LWD/MWD supervision
• Wireline logging supervision


Operations Geologist
Experience Required

The candidate should possess:
• Degree in related field
• 10 yrs + wellsite geology experience and/or previous operations geology experience
• Specific well management expertise of exploration wells, horizontal development wells, HPHT wells, deepwater drilling operations, onshore operations.
