I spent 26 yrs in Yorkshire Water in various roles including contract management, project management and a senior role managing communications. I then moved to a water specific recruitment business for 4 years prior to joining RPS. I hold a degree in project management.
Variety of Projects
My role is business development across the UK on both clean and wastewater. I also have a pivotal position working across the group as an enabler to ensure that we maximise any opportunities for the group.
Along with developing the business I also manage a team of internal colleagues and external consultants to meet clients expectations on the work won. I am currently involved in a wide range of projects including:
Wastewater engineering designs – from a zero start in Sept 2006 we are now supporting major framework contractors working for United Utilities in the North West – Responsible for the commercial and project management.
Clean water engineering designs – currently supporting major framework contractors on mains rehab design. Responsible for commercial and Project Management.
Specialist Surveying - Commercial and project manager for a range of projects including, trunk mains, properties, water services, dilapidation and asset type work.
Communication – Providing specialist communication support on intrusive long term city centre construction projects.
Specialist resources – Commercial and project responsibility for a number of staff working for various clients across the UK on civil engineering projects in Site Supervisor, RE and Audit roles.
Tender / proposal Management – Play a key role in the project management of Prequal’s, tenders and proposals
