Assistant Air Quality Consultant

Profile
I obtained my first degree in pure and applied chemistry at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and then decided to undertake a masters degree in air pollution management and control at the University of Birmingham. My interest was borne form the idea that sufficient wok had not yet been carried out to reduce pollution, providing the best technology to production industries.

Most of the modules I had undertaken in the masters programme exposed me to the bigger picture of the impacts of air pollution and I learnt the basics, which enabled me fit into my role as an Assistant Air Quality Consultant at RPS.

Experience with RPS till Date
In the few months that I worked with RPS I have been involved in undertaking air quality assessments for residential and mixed-use developments, one of which was the refurbishment and extension of a major hospital in London located in an AQMA.

The assessment required in-depth research and modelling to ascertain the suitability of the proposed development for both residential and hospital use. In the process of the research and in writing the report I have been able to improve my skills especially in the area of assessing projects of this kind in a more qualitative and quantitative manner. I have had excellent support from my colleagues and mentors in order to achieve this.

Why choose RPS?
RPS has a very lively working environment and I really enjoy working here. The people you get to work with are extremely capable, thus giving you the opportunity to learn from the best. This in turn encourages you to improve yourself.
